University of La Coruña (Universidade de A Coruna), in corporation with Vidzeme University College, has completed a research on tourism planning in Latvia and in Galicia.

The author of the research is Alberto Sanda Pita, a student of University of La Coruña and an ERASMUS program exchange student at Vidzeme University College.

Vidzeme University College announces the theme for the 11th Baltic Summer School. It will be focused on intercultural communication, therefore the theme for the summer school will be: „The East, Us, the West: Looking for the Similar and the Different in the Cultures of the European Countries". The 11th Baltic Summer School will take place in Valmiera 1 - 19 July, 2009.

On Thursday, 27 November, Vidzeme University College will be visited by Tim Mawe, the Irish Ambassador to Latvia.

From 2 December till 12 December Vidzeme Planning Region and Vidzeme University College in cooperation with Vidzeme Regional EU Structural Fund Information Centre are organising a cycle of four events "Vidzeme Forum".
